Reporting to Parents

The school adopts the following reporting procedure:-

  1. At the beginning of each year a 3 Way Conference (involving the teacher, parents and student) is held within the first eight weeks of the school year.  From this conference a set of goals are built up.
  2. Near the end of term two a report against the National Standards and the children’s celebration journals are sent home for parent’s information and signature.  The Celebration Journals consist of a scheduled sample of children’s achievement over the first half year.
  3. Early in term three a second 3 Way Conference is held to discuss student’s achievement and to plan goals for the rest of the year.
  4. Near the end of the school year the Celebration Journals and reports are again sent home for parent’s information.
  5. Parents are encouraged to approach the school to discuss their child at any convenient time.
  6. Teachers are available at any time of the year to meet with parents, by appointment, to discuss special requests and difficulties.
  7. Teachers will approach parents on any concerns they have regarding the children.

Interviews with the Principal

Parents are always welcome to make an appointment with the Principal to discuss any matters relating to the school.  Appointments can be made through our Principal or through our administration staff.

We welcome contact with parents, and hope that you don't have the slightest hesitation in coming along to talk to us.
